# Payroll List Records

If the organisation has set the payroll date on the HR Settings (opens new window) page, the system will execute payroll automatically. If the date is not set, the HR manager must manually run payroll.
# Payroll Run
When you "run" payroll, the following actions will take place.
- Individual payslips will be created for each employee based on the payroll records that you have entered in their file (salary, deductions, etc.)
- Employee leave credits will be added to their leave accounts, based on the numbers entered in the HR settings page. If no values have been entered, no credit will be granted. For example if an employee had 12 days of personal leave, and your HR settings specify 1,5 monthly leave credit - 1,5 will be added to their available leave days when payroll is run.
- A new company expense will be created under the Finance App - for expenses. Of you do not have the Finance app, no further action will be taken.
